Drawing, Painting, & Felting Workshops by Tracy Kadonaga

Hi there!
In 2024, I retired after 36 wonderful years of teaching art at an amazing high school near the ocean in sunny Southern California. Soon after, my family and I packed up our lives and headed to the cornfields of Ohio for our next adventure. These days, our backyard visitors include deer, bunnies, raccoons, skunks, and the occasional duck who seems to think he owns the place.
This new chapter has given me more time to focus on creating my own artwork while continuing to share what I love most—helping others discover the joy of making art. I currently teach classes through the Dublin Community Recreation Center and offer workshops in drawing, painting, needle felting, and creativity-based wellness experiences.
My goal is simple: to create a welcoming space where you can slow down, get cozy, reconnect with your imagination, and make something you feel proud of. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush, sketching with pencil, or enthusiastically stabbing a fluffy ball of wool with a very tiny pointy needle, you're invited to come play. No experience required!
Thank you for stopping by The Polka Dot Heart Studio—where play is priority, and creativity is for everyone (glitter is optional). =)
